About Pregnant Mare Rescue
Welcome to Pregnant Mare Rescue!
Once located in the gently rolling hills of Larkin Valley, California, the rescue is now located in Petaluma.
We pull pregnant mares out of harm’s way and educate the public about the plight of horses in our nation! Our primary rescue operations have been moved up to Petaluma, Ca. We have a gorgeous 40-acre paradise. We now have 8 acres of beautiful pasture on Calabasas in Watsonville. We are gearing up to host visitors. Our Airbnb Experiences can be found right here!
What We Do
We pull pregnant mares and orphaned foals from situations of abuse, neglect, abandonment, and sometimes on-the-kill lots across our nation.
We educate our communities on the value of horses beyond riding.
We grow confident caring children by providing learning opportunities with their equine friends.
Who We Are
We are a small boutique rescue that started sixteen years ago. We have rescued and rehomed over six hundred equines.
Our children’s programs, our Airbnb Experiences, and our corporate offsites have hosted friends from all over the world. We define Small but Mighty!
